Peggy (a.k.a. Dr. Elam) & Pat (a.k.a. the Queen of Rubenesque Romances) took Labor Day off, and in place of the live show aired the recording of the August 11, 2010 Pearlsong Conversation teleconference call with Anne Richardson Williams, artist & author of the spiritual travelogue/memoir Unconventional Means: The Dream Down Under.  Peggy wore her publisher hat (as founder of Pearlsong Press) to chat with Anne about using art & writing to transcend traumatic experiences. (Of course she couldn't resist sneaking the psychologist's cap back on to pontificate about research indicating that writing about stressful experiences can be physically as well as emotionally healing.)

Pat & Lynne Murray (author of Bride of the Living Dead & the award-winning Josephine Fuller mystery novels) also participated in the conversation.

For more information about Anne, her book, and her most recent traumatic experience during the May 2010 Nashville, TN flood, click here to read the Pearlsong Press blog post about the conversation. You can also check out Anne's website at http://www.annerwilliams-art.com.
