PegE (a.k.a. Dr. Elam) & Pat (a.k.a. the Queen of Rubenesque Romances) discuss the Journal of the American Medical Association commentary in which Harvard pediatrician David Ludwig & Harvard School of Public Health attorney Lindsey Murtagh opined that "super obese" children should be taken into state custody in order to help them lose weight. The piece triggered a backlash (the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance issued a press release headlined "Kidnapping: Next New Diet Fad!") & Ludwig attempted to assuage "angry and terrified parents."
Music includes "Freedom" & "When I Was A Child" by Suchi Waters Benjamin & "Roly Poly" by Bob Wills.
